ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
Barcelona starlet Pau Cubarsi had a memorable night at London Stadium on Thursday despite Spain going down 1-0 against Colombia in an international friendly. He came on as a substitute in the 83rd minute replacing Aymeric Laporte, becoming the youngest defender to ever play for Spain at the age of 17 years one month and 28 days. He broke the record previously held by legendary Spanish defender Sergio Ramos who debuted in 2005 aged 18 years, 11 months and 26 days. He is also the second youngest player to ever represent La Roja after clubmate Lamine Yamal who played his maiden international match last year at the age of 16 years and 38 days.
